Douglas Bader Lucifer – In 1956 Group Captain Douglas Bader won a Lucifer at the Spring Meeting played at Walton Heath. Bader modified the figure to incorporate a means of striking a match to light his pipe. The figure was jointly purchased many years later by Richard Cunis and the Society.
The Grant Govern Trophy – A miniature Empire Trophy won by Grant Govan from Royal Calcutta G.C. for the best score in the 1st round of the Tournament at Walton Heath 1935.
Returned to the Society by his sister in 1987. Incorrectly engraved Grant Govern
Bobby Locke Trophy – Presented to Bobby Locke when he won The Empire Trophy in 1936 aged 18. He played in The Open that year and was leading amateur. The trophy was bought at auction in 1993 by Hon. Scribe Fergus Watson who bid by telephone from Victoria Station… and given to The Society
The Calcutta Cup – Presented to the Society in 1936 by The Royal Calcutta G.C. engraved “in Appreciation”. It was proposed in 1936 that a Meeting be arranged at which the Cup would be played for – but this came to nothing.
The Presidents & Captains Cup. Presented by Carlton Levick C.B.E. in 1929. It is inscribed with the names of the first two Patrons plus past Presidents & Captains
Levick Silver Salver – Presented to Carlton Levick by The Duke of York at the Empire Dinner July 6th 1932 at The Mansion House – as a “little acknowledgement of the great work he has done for the Society”. Levick continued as Hon. Scribe until 1953 and was Captain 1942-3. The Salver is engraved with Lucifer signatures.
The George du Cros Challenge Cup – Presented at the first post-war dinner in 1945 by George du Cros, a Lucifer from 1929.
The Glyn Hughes Trophy – Presented by Brig. Glyn Hughes, Captain 1964/5 and Chief Lucifer 1970 – 73. The trophy is a miniature of the Empire Trophy. Used only once- in 1988 – as a trophy for the best aggregate handicap singles Stableford score at the Spring & Autumn Meetings. Won by J. Raison
The Harvey Simonis Trophy – Presented by George Harvey (later Sir George Harvey M.P.) and Fred Simonis, early members of the Society, in 1929. The pair were both members of Walton Heath. Simonis “bought” Harvey in the selling sweep at the Lucifer Autumn Meeting in 1929. He sold half to Harvey who duly won. They collected £64 each and then gave the ‘recorder’ a silver goblet. Two months later they decided to present the trophy back to the Society

The Prince of Wales Cup – Presented by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales K.G. during his year as Captain in 1934. Used for a singles knock-out competition between 1934 – 1938 (as the Carlton today). From 1947 onwards awarded to the winner of the singles at the Autumn Meeting
Prince of Wales Minature – Given to the winner of The Prince of Wales Cup during the 1930’s. Engraved ‘Miniature of Challenge Cup Presented to The Lucifer Golfing Society by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales
The Hole in One Trophy – A silver model of a Junk, presented to the Society in 1953 by The Royal Hong Kong G.C. to record the names of any golfer recording a hole in one at a U.K. Commonwealth Meeting
A Silver Quaich – Presented at the Savoy dinner in 2011 to The Lucifers by Air Chief Marshall Sir Patrick Hine C.B., G.B.E., F.R.Ae.S., Captain of the R & A.
The Sir John Hay Cup – Though titled a ‘cup’ it is actually a handsome rose bowl presented in 1960 by Sir John Hay to mark the end of his year as Captain. It is presented to the winner of the veteran’s (over 75’s) singles at the Autumn Meeting
The Australian Golf Union Bowl – Presented in 1949 by The Australian Golf Union on behalf of Australian golfers attending The Commonwealth Tournament.
Presented in 2009 by Brian Pope Chief Lucifer. Now awarded to the Lucifer with the best aggregate score from the Spring & Summer Meetings.
Presented in 1947 by Capt. T.H. Carlton Levick C.B.E. Captain of the Society 1942/3 to commemorate his 20 years as Hon. Scribe and his 80th birthday. Capt. Levick held the position of Hon. Scribe from 1929-1953. The trophy is now awarded to the winner of the singles knock-out played throughout the year.

Presented at the Autumn Dinner at The Savoy in October 1937 by Sir Charles Sykes Bt., Captain of the Society in 1936 to commemorate the coronation of H.M. King George VI
The Gibbs Cup – Silver Trophy with lid & golfer presented by Arthur S. Gibbs – a founding member of the Society – in 1922. Now presented to the member with the best score at the Spring Meeting
Hedley Le Bas Salver – Presented in 1928 by H. Ernest Le Bas in memory of his father Sir Hedley – a founder member of The Lucifers and the first Captain 1921 – 1925. The salver is presented to the winner of The Summer Meeting.
The Roger Bacon Salver – Presented in 1994 by the Roger Bacon G.S. from Mt. Bruno C.C. Montreal after a match with the Lucifers at R.S.G. The Society was disbanded in the early 2000’s by the members – rather than “embrace a new generation”
The Todd Challenge Bowl – Presented to the Society in 1926 by Sir Harry Greer D.L. in the first of his four years as Captain, to be awarded to the winner of the Captain’s Prize. The winner was James H. Todd who presented it back to the Society in his Captain’s year of 1938. Used as the trophy for the Summer Meeting from 1957 – 1982, it has recently been reinstated as the Captain’s Prize trophy.
The Victoria Cup – Presented to The Lucifers by Major Stephen Petzing on behalf of The Victoria Golfers, Vancouver Island in 2004. Now won by the Lucifer with the best score in the second round of the Commonwealth Meeting.
The Webb Cup – Presented to The Lucifers in 2006 by the son of E.F. Webb. This miniature of The Empire Trophy was awarded to E.F. Webb after winning the Qualifying Round of The Empire Meeting in 1933. Now awarded to the Lucifer with the best score in the first round of the Commonwealth Meeting.
The Paul Orchard-Lisle Salver, presented in 2022 by Paul for competition between the Society and the Honourable Artillery Company

Ivory Lion – Presented in 1950 by The Kenya G.S. The K.G.S. was founded in 1930 and has close ties with The Lucifers. In 1931 a Lucifer figure was given to the K.G.S. The following year the first match was played with them at Aldeburgh, repeated until the war years. Carlton Levick and Capt. Todd visited Kenya and presented the K.G.S. with an Honours Board to record the names of Presidents.
Lord Bruce Trophy – A silver kangaroo on base presented in 1962 by members of the Society to mark their respect and affection for their Chief Lucifer The Rt. Hon. Viscount Bruce of Melbourne P.C., C.H., M.C., F.R.S., LL.D., (Captain 1949 – 1958 and Chief Lucifer 1959 – 1968

A gold Calabash on 3 Kudu heads – Presented by the South African golfers in 1937. A gold copy of the Bronze Bowls in the Union Buildings Pretoria mounted on a base of polished stinkwood set on a plinth of polished quartz. Trophy presented by Jack Hirsh, a South African M.P. and an original Springbok rugby player who travelled from Carnoustie to London for the presentation and returned that night on the mail train.
A silver centerpiece presented by Bombay Golfers in 1936. Bernard Darwin in the 1921 – 1942 history describes this, slightly inadequately, as a “fruit dish”
The Elephant Trophy – Presented by The Kenya G.S. to The Society to mark the Lucifer tour in 2003
The Ghana Golf Stool – Presented by The Ghana Golf Association in 1968. A Stool is symbolic of authority and has a mystical significance as the repository of the soul of the tribe.
An Inuit Arctic Bear – A carved soapstone bear on a maple wood base presented at The Commonwealth Dinner 2009 by Wallace Hasker from British Columbia and Ted Clarke of Ontario, Overseas Lucifers on behalf of all Canadian Golfers who attend the Commonwealth Tournament.
Topi on Ant Hill – Presented by Jack Jones of the Kenya G.S. to Hugh Eagleton captain of the first overseas touring Lucifer team at a dinner at The Muthaiga Club Nairobi on Valentine’s Day 1975. The Lucifers presented a Lucifer in return.
Giraffes Trophy – Presented by The Tobogo G.S. Kenya in 1978 to The Lucifer Touring party. The T.G.S. was the only All African G.S. at that time.
Desk Set – Two silver gilt Lucifer figures on a mahogany plinth with a golf club. Presented to Lord Bruce on his appointment as Chief Lucifer in 1959
